Karavan – Yaadein [ Download Audio | Video ]
Karavan are pioneering rockers and in their stint here can be described as the classic rockers of Pakistan. Making their first appearance here, they sing ‘Yaadein’, a pop-rock number. The song is about memories and how they fade, and is played out by the original band along with Omran Shafique, Jaffer Ali Zaidi and Javed Iqbal from the house band. It’s mature rock music at its best: the slow tempo, melody, acoustic sound, along with its conciseness add to its appeal.

We, the KoolMuzone team have won an award for running the ‘Best Music Blog of Pakistan’ at ‘Pakistan Blog Awards 2010′ held on friday, the 28th of May. The very first Pakistan’s annual blog awards are organized by Google Pakistan and CIO Pakistan, presented by Nokia and sponsored by Cannon, DELL, Supernet and CommTell Soft amongst many others. Professionals from around the globe selected the winners from 207 entries after an in depth analysis and comprehensive selection procedure. The selection panel included organizations like Cisco, Unicef, Intel, P@sha, DawnNews, DELL, Demotix.com and educationists from Columbia Journalism School and Harvard University. A lot of Pakistani users don’t seem to be making use of the technology called RSS (Really Simple Syndication). With RSS you don’t really have to visit website each time you want to make sure there is some new content added. Instead of that, as soon as the content gets added it comes over to you. All you need to do is grab our RSS link and put that in your RSS reader. There are many RSS readers available publicly for free which can be both web and desktop applications. The easiest of them in my opinion is Google Reader since most of the users already have Google accounts and you wouldn’t have to install any kind of software. {Read More…}

Fire Records wants user feedback in order to decide if it’s the right time to put out the albums for public.

Fire Records is due to begin its releases from the 2nd of Jan with one album release every week. In wake of the current situation and tragedies should Fire go ahead with the planned releases?

Hey,
For all of you who had been wondering where had we gone, we have just had the longest downtime of almost around 24 hours and it will last longer for some of you out there, since the name-servers are still propagating. Our hosting account was suspended due to excessive load on the servers of the hosting company due to which we had to face downtime. However, we managed to shift the servers within 24 hours. Change of server takes few hours (up to 24 hours) to appear correctly around the globe. So, some of you will take a bit longer to read this. Good news is the account was suspended because we have been receiving amazing amount of traffic from you guys. So, even though the account was suspended, it still feels great how close you guys are to us. KoolMuzone will soon be turning “One”. We are really excited about this and definitely want to offer you something better than ever. We would like to hear in comments what would you guys love the most.

We have been running this website for almost over an year now. The amount of traffic that we have received has just been amazing. But with traffic comes greater responsibilities. More than 15 GB of files are being downloaded each day. The amount of bandwidth being consumed is definitely something we can’t afford and so we have to host the files on 4shared. The 4shared is providing fine hosting packages but the only turn off is that you guys have to wait for couple of seconds till you get to download the song. We have finally come up with a fix for that. {Read More…}

So, we had our first and long downtime of almost around 20 hours. The load on the site exceeded more than the host could afford and so the database server crashed. Don’t worry, the 20 hours aren’t lost. We worked on today’s news and stuff while the site was down and gathered it all for you guys, so, that as soon as the site gets back, you guys get the treat

The file servers where we host the songs seem to be hacked. We are as much frustrated as you. Please be patient, till the problem get’s fixed.

The problem has been fixed. The site has been restored by 4shared but the site isn’t fully functional.
