I have always been a fan of the dare show “Living on the Edge” since the times when it was just a street show. As the show grew and reached the masses the pattern changed massively and Waqar Zaka (Host/Concept writer) went on Pakistan tour to find the most daring person of Pakistan.
During the last season, there were a few acts which turned out to be shameful instead of daring and the show went off for a while. Waqar Zaka made his apologies on ARY Musik and we thought may be those acts won’t repeat in future.
However, the acts didn’t only repeat but were made core part of the 2010 season of the show. We kept adding the episodes for our readers/viewers since a lot of them enjoyed watching it (including me) but after each episode the scenario worsened and there was something to object about in each coming episode.
It started off when one of the female contestants accepted that she’s a druggie, while another “dared” to make close physical contacts with Waqar yet both of them made it to the finals.
Later in the show the “patriotic” host arranged sheeshas and dance parties for the contestants. Shocked by seeing the 6th episode of the show, which didn’t have ANYTHING but scandalous stories, fights and abuses, I feel that the dare show has turned into cheap entertainment and must be banned.
I request the authorities to have a look at the show and appreciate that ProPakistani has also mentioned and pointed it out to PEMRA.

I have been following this program to see what’s the limit to vulgarity on TV. Pakistan has always been known for its rich culture which people like Waqar Zaka is not only spoiling but making sure that people around the world also know about it through internet and TV. If you look at the girls who are participating in this show, you can easily make out that those girls have been picked up specifically to show nudity and go to any extent to increase this program’s TRP. One girl is supposed to be representing Memon community, she has come to this program to prove the point that Memon are the best but i am sure no Memon would want a girl like her to represent their community…… I fully agree with each and everyone of you guys that program such as living on the edge is not only brain washing out youth but also it’s encouraging young kids to come on Camera and talk about things which noone in our country would want to hear from his/her brother or sister..

In what episode did the host persuade any sort of ill-behavior…I didn’t see anything like that! yes the girl was bold enough to mention the drugs but I didn’t see zaka appreciating that gesture.…and close physical contact??… u call standing 4 feet away with a huge table in the middle a close physical contact??….. So my final statement is that since we have only one HOST who is producing international standard stuff and we have one SHOW THAT is not the lame comedy show, seriouslyyy this show should be on GEO TV not on a music channel.
