You can’t find original Pakistani CDs here, if you get a relative to send one from Pakistan, they’re fake copies….
I know, it’s soooo sad…. so I my source for music is online….

  2. Faiz says:

and of course there aren’t any online sales. Good point.

there are quite a few shops in lahore that i know of that are directly supplied to by fire records this past summer there was an article in the news paper about fire records going and literally burning all the pirated cds of hadiqa kiani and maryam kizilbash while arresting the shop owner….later he had to pay a small fine and was released etc.

i personally buy cds already but the sad part is if the artists were paid by royalties in addition to their regular payments it would be much better.

  4. aaa says:

plus cds are already really cheap they come in between 40 to 60 rupees in pakistan any cheaper will be ridiculous

  5. Atiffan1 says:

    :O :O :O :O ARE YOU SERIOUSSSS???? 40-60 rupees….
    That’s….
    60.00 PKR Pakistan Rupees
    0.729104 CAD Canada Dollars
About 73 cents here, that’s less than what a small bag of Lays chips costs….
    WOW!!!! THAT’s SOOOO FLIPPING CHEAP!!!!
I take the vote on CDs to get cheaper back cuz they are clearly very inexpensive…. Here 1 CD is about $15.00 which is about 1250 rupees…. !!!!
    WOW, I’m shocked…. …. …. …. :O
Okay I’m all for Royalties get implemented (Artists get paid per sale) now.

I still can’t get over the fact, why don’t people buy CDs then???? If I lived in Pak, I’d buy um, it actually feels good when you have the original CD and you can collect and what not….

  7. aaa says:

yeah the most expensive cd i bought costed about 120 rupees

  8. NAASH says:

Man , ill buy them if they are available .. In Bahrain or other GCC countries you wont find any noori , call , mizraab , mauj or karvan CD’s ..

@Atiffan1 You are forgetting the part where incomes in Pakistan are also lesser.. a fresh graduate at avg earns 15-20 thousand rs (178 Dollars) per MONTH while at Canada that shall be 4000-5000 Dollars. In terms of lays the CD in Pakistan is worth 10 times the prices of Lays in Pakistan. I guess that makes the price of CDs same for both of us and if you think they are expensive at Canada then in competitive terms they are expensive for us too :)

@aaa The CDs are 100 Rs.. You are talking about the pirated ones.. It’s better to download a pirated song instead of buying a pirated CD.. Why pay money when it’s not reaching the label/artist?

  10. aaa says:

^cds arent 100 and yeah the pirated ones are 40 to 60 but on average they are 80 rupees and the 80 rupees ones are from fire records themselff

when i initially wrote 40 to 60 i was exaggerating lol

  11. Kami.Genius says:

Artist must get paid for sale also there is no shop where can we buy orignal cd so internet is the best to get them all.
